Before submitting an application to run a sound camp, please read the following information carefully. You will be expected to follow all guidelines as stated herein. To apply for a sound camp, fill out the online application form below. If you have questions regarding these guidelines, the application process, or sound camps in general please contact Dave and Jessa at soundcamp@estheticevolution.com

  • All sound camps applications must be submitted by April 15th. No camp will be permitted to operate amplified sound without submitting an application and being approved. Notification of approval will be sent to all applicants no later than April 20th.

  • Due to space limitations, we are forced to limit the number of sound camps that operate each year. We encourage you to consider teaming up with other members of the community to form a camp. This may mean that 2 or 3 groups come together to create one large sound camp. Our hope is that everyone who wants to be involved in a camp is able to be.

  • Set-up for your sound camp must begin on Thursday at 1pm and be completed by the end of the day. There will be a limit on the number of people allowed from each group for set up on Thursday. There will be no exceptions to this rule. You’ll be required to provide us with a list of names of who will be arriving that day. Anyone not on your list will need to camp by the river until the official opening on Friday.

  • EE Staff reserves the right to place you where we feel your camp will best fit within the meadow ‘s overall plan. We will do our best to keep your preferences in mind while making these decisions and will let you know when you arrive for setup (if not before) where you will be placed.

  • Pre-approved sound camps can play music anytime between the hours of noon and 7:00 p.m. during Friday and Saturday. However, at 7:00 p.m. all sound must be turned off – NO EXCEPTIONS.  Additionally, you will not be able to run any sound before noon each day, as we would like to be considerate of those around you who may be still sleeping. EE Staff reserve the right to turn off your sound if found operating outside of the allotted hours.

  • Camps will be permitted to operate a modest amount of sound; but please remember the meadow is relatively small and music can bleed from one sound camp to another, therefore we ask that you keep your volume at a considerate level. EE Staff reserves the right to ask that you turn down your sound if we deem it necessary.

  • Sound camps should be fun, so the more attractions you have at your camp, the more likely it is that we will pick your camp to participate. Be prepared to have an “open” camp that’s available for everyone to participate in and doesn’t exclude or ostracize anyone or any group. Be creative in the attractions that you’ll have available at your camp, and be sure to be specific when filling out your application.

  • Your sound camp is fully YOUR responsibility. All sound, generators, DJ equipment, decorations and anything else featured there must be provided and maintained solely by you and your crew. The generators you bring must be clean burning, efficient and preferably silent. Placement of your generator needs to be thoughtful of the people camped around you. Esthetic Evolution and its partners are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.

  • We want everyone to have a fun and safe experience with their sound camps, and that’s why we’ve put these guidelines in place. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in your camp being shut down, and any future considerations for your sound camps terminated. Operating a camp is a big decision that takes lots of work. Please make sure that you have the time, energy and means to operate your camp according to these rules.

  • Due to limitations of space at the event, we must reserve the right to limit the overall size of your camp and/or structures.  We will do our very best to work with you and your vision, but please realize that we may be unable to accommodate all of your requests.
